To Project a Professional Presence and Protect Yourself Against Charges of Sexual Harassment
Don’t assume that a friendly woman/man will be willing to go to bed with you. Assume only that courteous people are friendly. (if they mean it to be more, they will let you know)
Respect a person’s personal space. (USA arm’s length distance)
Managers and Supervisors never mix a discussion of “social life” with a job-related counseling session, particularly if you are discussing a disciplinary procedure or a possible upgrade, promotion, or hire.
Keep your hands to yourself. (The only legitimate touch at work is the handshake.)
Don’t talk about sex on the job (That includes your sex life, sexy websites, other’s sex life, the hot net-flick movie, etc.)
Keep compliments job-related (relate to skills and competencies)
Avoid jokes, words, phrases, and gestures with sexual meanings
